Frequently Asked Questions

We know you have questions about Coyote Howls RV Parks. That’s why we’ve addressed some of them below. Search the answers below or feel free to ask your own.

Do you have an RV dump station?

Yes, there are 3 RV dump stations and 2 Blue-Boy-waste-tank-only dump stations here in the park. NO composting toilets are allowed – no exceptions. Only fully self-contained rigs are allowed at the annual rates.

Do you offer full hookups?

Coyote Howls West offers full hookups. Water, electricity, and sewer are available. Coyote Howls East is a “primitive” type campground with only water available at your site. However, there are full bathrooms at Coyote Howls East with on-demand hot water in the showers. Both Coyote Howls East and West guests may use them.

Is Coyote Howls "pet friendly"?

Yes, we do allow pets and we have a dog run. There is a 2-dog maximum for each site. No exceptions! Please remember that your pets must be leashed and accompanied. They cannot be tethered or cabled or unattended outside at any time. We are called “Coyote Howls” for a reason!

Do you have a laundry mat?

Yes. Our laundry facility has (7) washers and (3) dryers. There are (2) outdoor clotheslines available for those who prefer the natural AZ “quick dry” method. Guests of either park (East and West) are welcome to use the facility.

Can we receive mail and/or mail letters at the campground office?

Yes, we do have a mail delivery service and pick up for USPS, Fed-Ex and UPS. We do not sell postage, but the Post Office is only ten miles away if you need stamps or packages weighed.

Are guests allowed to run a generator?

Quiet generators (inverter types are the best) are allowed ONLY during generator hours. The hours are 8:00-12:30 in the morning and 4:30 -9:00 in the evenings. If you run your generator more than 4 hours daily, you need to move to the full hook-up park. Solar panels are a great alternative. And, if you’re staying long-term your neighbors will love you for having them!

Are guests allowed campfires at there site?

Campfires are allowed in our East park. You can have a campfire to cook or to keep warm. We do not provide firewood. Please do not burn debris, local scrubs, treated or painted wood. And of course, no campfire can be left unattended. There is a firepit next to the office in our West park where guests get together in the evenings.

We only have a tent, can we stay there for long periods of time?

We welcome every size of camping rig, but only fully self-contained vehicles are allowed at to stay long-term. We have sites that will accommodate tents, small RV’s, large RV’s or class A Motorhomes. Seasonal camping is recommended for most RVer’s. Our summers get very hot and air conditioning is needed to stay cool.  Absolutely NO tent or car camping allowed from May 1st – September 30th.

Is WiFi available?

We have free WiFi available at both parks. The East park also has ethernet capabilities in the computer room in the main office building. A WiFi booster is a great addition to your RV, helping you receive a stronger WiFi signal at your site. We’re also very close to a cell tower. If you have Verizon or Spectrum, it is reported that you can use your Hotspot data easily. T-Mobile and AT&T, it depends.

Can I leave my RV at the park all year even if I don’t live in it?

Many of our yearly guests leave their RV’s here year round. It’s easier for some guests to travel back and forth from their destinations and have their RV’s waiting for them. We just ask that you disconnect your water before leaving.
