Coyote Howls RV Park – East

Primitive Camping at Its Best!

Staying at Coyote Howls East is like boondocking with benefits!

Primitive camping or boondocking usually means camping without amenities. Here at Coyote Howls East, we offer primitive camping with some great perks!

Our guests have access to water, a laundry room, dump stations*, restrooms and showers. Guests also have access to a generous library, a computer room and there’s even mail service. Can’t beat that!

Most of our long-term guests here at Coyote Howls East use solar systems to generate their own power on site.

Located in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, Coyote Howls East offers many activities, including: music jams, dances, hiking groups, creative writing groups, fellowship meetings and much, much more!

Our Amenities

Water to your site!

Our unique RV sites are roomy and affordable. But the big difference is water! Most of our sites have water plumbed right to them.  Water makes desert living a little bit easier here in southern Arizona.

Large, Level, and Pull-Thru Sites

Coyote Howls East offers spacious sites with lots of elbow room. They are level and the majority of the sites are pull-through. We have sites that will accommodate everyone from “minimalist” Rvers to large Class A motorhomes and 5th wheels.

Library

Our guests have access to the library which is located right next to the office. It has an amazing variety of books to choose from. The library is also our social gathering area and coffee is available for 25 cents a cup!

Restrooms and Showers

We have five restrooms located throughout the park and two buildings with on-demand-hot-water showers.

Laundry Room

Our laundry facility has (7) washers and (3) dryers. There are (2) outdoor clotheslines available for those who prefer the natural AZ “quick dry” method.

Wifi

Wifi is available here at Coyote Howls East. There is also a computer room in the main building where ethernet cables are provided.

RV and Blue Boy Waste Tank Dump Stations

There are 3 RV dump stations and 2 Blue-Boy-waste-tank-only dump stations here in the park.

Pet Friendly

Coyote Howls East is a pet-friendly RV park with a large, fenced in dog run, “Bark Park”. When not in the dog park, please remember to keep your pets on a leash. There is a 2-dog limit per site. There is no poo fairy, so please clean up after your pets in all areas of the park.

Visit Coyote Howls West

We have wintered in Coyote Howls RV Park for the last 15 winters. We enjoy the openness, the people and the entire area. When we return in the fall it feels like coming home.

It is in a small community but has a lot of activities going on so we can do as much as we like or as little as we want. There are many hiking trails and miles of desert to take drives. It is 10 miles north to the nearest grocery store and post office, and over 100 miles to do major shopping or hospitals. Although Ajo does have a small clinic and ambulance service.

There are numerous birds, coyotes and donkeys but the best things are the people and the mild winter weather.
