Coyote Howls RV Parks
Activities and Things To Do
Whatever you are looking for here, you may just find it!
The Main Office Building
Our main building consists of the campground office, the rec room, the library, and the computer room. Most days start out with campers gathering for our .25 coffee in the library. Speaking of the library, it’s pretty impressive. There is a huge selection of titles to choose from. It’s a take one, leave one kind of arrangement and works out great. Wifi and ethernet connections are available to get you online and caught up with family and friends. There is always a puzzle being assembled in the library so stop by and lend a hand!
Planned Activities
Most of the planned activities take place or at least originate in the recreation room. Guests can play Cribbage, Pinochle, Pokeno, or any of the other games scheduled. We also have arts and crafts, and Bible study. If you are up for a little competition there is a Ping-Pong table that you can challenge your friends to a friendly game. Coyote Howls East even has a mini-golf course to test your skills. There are also organized hikes that you can sign up to join. The activities schedule is always posted on the bulletin board outside of the building.
PICKLEBALL – If you love to play Pickleball then you know once you get started you can’t stop! Come join the dinkers, lobbers and slammers at the Coyote Howls East Park.
Music Jams and Dancing
Every Thursday the local musicians get together at the Why Community Building to jam and play together. Everyone is welcome to join or simply sit back and listen. Every Wednesday & Friday nights the Community Building hosts a dance with live music. Super fun for all who participate!
The Community Building
The Community Building plays an important role for the town of Why and /coyote Howls RV Parks. It is where the music jams, dances, dinners, breakfasts, craft fairs, flea markets, movies, holiday events, and most other get-togethers take place. Be sure to grab an events schedule when you visit the office!
Outdoor Activities
Many of our guests come to the area to explore the beautiful Sonoran Desert. You can enjoy hiking, climbing, biking, off-roading, rock collecting, stargazing and much more. If you are an artist or photographer, the desert offers an endless supply of possibilities! The Cabeza Prieta Wildlife Preserve is another hidden gem and is located east and north of our campground. You need a permit to access the preserve but one is easily acquired at the CAbeza Prieta Visitor Center in Ajo. If you are a golfer, ten miles north there is a course in Ajo. Near the golf course is a shooting range and roping arena.
Jack’s Park
Jack’s Park: CURRENTLY UNDER RENNOVATION.
It’s quiet, well maintained and friendly with generous lot sizes. The sunsets are awesome, and being in the middle of the desert, the view is unobstructed. The manager and his wife are very helpful and accommodating and host a park get-together every evening around a community campfire.
On top of all that, the price is right!
